I saw Tony Dungy last night at Best Buy. He was buying a new Chiefs cell phone cover. While he was seeing how the cover fit on his phone, his realtor called about a house in Leawood.
Also, Dungy was wearing red and yellow Chiefs shoes and a Chiefs polo.

So according to CP, if Polian is indeed THE man....we should expect to draft Barkley...?
Sad face.

Pioli keeping his job would be more plausible than this story...

Polian definitely has a chance to be this GM.
But the rest if the biggest leap of faith bullshit ever. I know teams talk to other coaches toward the end of the season, but what this pile of speculative shit is trying to say is that not only are they talking, but they've also convinced Dom Capers to leave a playoff team with a stud QB, but they've also talked to Norv? Not only that, they told the assistants not to go to Denver? Holy ****ing god. Is the author of this related to Athan?

I am convinced though that if it's Polian, then the QB is going to be Barkley.
I've heard Polian in a few spots and he constantly says how he loves QBs from a Pro Style offense, that were 4 year starters and come from a big school. I wish Clark would be focusing on uncovering the next Carl Peterson that can turn this ship around like CP did in the late 80s instead of hiring some re-tread big name piece of shit that's going to come in with his chest stuck out and his ego inflated.

Those characteristics don't really correlate to early success as a QB in recent years. So rather than make decisions based on data, he's gonna play his hunch. Fantastic.

The Tampa 2 is obsolete. There are still defenses out there with cover 2 principles that are intriguing. Gus Bradley's under scheme with cover 2 principles is intriguing. So it depends on how married dungy is to a pure Tampa 2. He didn't always run a pure Tampa 2 and maybe his years as an analyst opened his eyes to how obsolete his defense has become.
Again... Not even close to my top choice. But we may not know the exact scheme he will plan to run. |

the only reason people think Dungy was a good coach is because the media painted it that way
I could coach Peyton Manning and win 12 games every year. The only reason people think Tony Romo is bad is because the media paints in that way. The media influences opinion on casual watching football folk. I, for one, like to form my own opinions. Sometimes I am quite wrong. This is why I've always been prone to attack on boards like these because big media and I don't always see the same thing. |
