St. Louis does not care about football. I can count on two hands the number of times I've seen people wearing Rams gear in St. Louis or on the college campuses in Missouri I've visited. In fact, thinking about it, I could probably do it on one.

Young St. Louisans are much more attached to the Blues. I see sweaters and caps with the Blue Note every day, even before they hired Hitchcock and became a Stanley Cup contender. I don't even have to point out their pathological obsession with Cardinals baseball.

St. Louis isn't a football town, and never was. There's no shame in that - in fact, when the Rams do leave, they're going to be second in line behind Seattle for a NBA franchise.
