The Chiefs took the interim tag off Denny Thum and made him the new president. The Chiefs split the duties of former president/general manager Carl Peterson, giving responsibilities for football operations to new general manager Scott Pioli.

Thum will be responsible for everything else, including tickets, sales and marketing and stadium construction and operation.
