Chiefs make scouting staff changes

|The Chiefs today acknowledged this week's moves in their scouting department, primarily the firing of personnel director Bill Kuharich and the college scouting director, Chuck Cook.

They named Phil Emery as the new director of college scouting. Emery has 11 years of NFL scouting experience, including the last five as Atlanta's director of college scouting.

Jim Nagy, Jay Muraco, Pat Sperduto and Rod Perry were hired as scouts.

From the previous regime, the Chiefs retained pro personnel director Ray Farmer and two scouts, former Chiefs wide receiver Willie Davis and Terry Delp.
