The answer is that the defense and special teams are much, much better than we thought.

I'm just not a fan of Eli. I dont' think he's an elite QB. I think he's a good QB with the ability to play at an upper level for short periods of time, but I think he's in the same level as Flacco etc.

I would obviously take a QB of that level on the Chiefs, but if I'm wishing for a QB, I'd rather have an elite level guy like Rodgers.

Yeah, ****ing idiotic. That's probably why in 4 of Eli's 5 playoff runs, he didn't throw a single game over 251 yards.

And because Eli Manning is the model of a great regular season QBing.

He is who he is because in the playoffs, he plays extremely efficient football and is at his best when the defense and running game fairly consistently give him something to work with. In the second run, he was much more productive. His first run was your classic "manage games, don't make mistakes, and make big plays when needed."

I don't care if he threw for 4,900 yards a few years ago. You do realize that the 2011 Giants were a complete shit show in the regular season and barely squeezed in.

It took that kid 5 seasons before he started to get it... that would be fun around here, huh? People would talk about patience, then 3 weeks into the regular season of his rookie year (or 2 weeks into the preseason, like with Geno), people would start saying that it's not going to work out.
