TJ isn't anything special. Makes sense to see what your first rounder from a year ago can do. "Take the diapers off" as an old Chiefs coach once said.

Thomas Jones has played VERY WELL for the Bears. I think naming a starter at this point is foolish. Benson has talent, but Jones has PROVEN alot more so far.

Keep Thomas Jones off of Denver and I don't care.
The Bears would be LUCKY if Thomas Jones sucked it up and decided to stay and be a back up/every third series back. With him and Adrian Peterson backing up Ceddy Bens, that's quite a tandem. The Bears have a super bowl caliber team, that's for sure. |

I mean, look what they did this offseason, they brought in Griese to compete with Grossman for starting QB, plus they have a guy, Orton, who showed he was at least capable of managing a game, plus their line is very solid, Muhammed, Bradley and Berriam isn't a bad WR core and offense is said to be their weakness.
Devin Hester should be a BIG plus in the return game and I think their defense speaks for itself. Seattle, Chicago, Washington, Dallas and Carolina seem to be the cream of the crop over in the NFC. (Of course, those teams would be average in the AFC.) |

I don't think he is officially the starter. This is just Lovie Smiths way of getting back at Jones for missing mandatory practices. Maybe Benson will take this opportunity and keep the position who knows, he is the number one draft choice so it's a matter of time anyway.
