Vote of confidence?!?!

Just saw on ESPNNEWS that CP gave Gun a "vote of confidence" despite the team's current 4 game losing streak.

Heck, if I call in sick more than 1 day in a row, I at least have to have a DR's slip. Why doesn't Gun have to be accountable? hmmmm....

My vote of confidence is that I think New England will beat KC by 2 TD's on monday.

This sad little story actually made the Chicago sports section, I guess for the humor content. VOTE OF CONFIDENCE? :mad: For what? Getting eliminated from the playoffs in NOVEMBER? Fielding a defense that couldn't stop a good high school team? Taking a star-caliber offense and turning it into something that makes the '00 San Fran D look like the '85 Bears D? Yeah, I've got confidence, all right. That's why I also picked NE to win big Monday night.

This mess reminds me of Jaws. There's blood in the water, yet Mayor Carl won't close the beaches. And instead of Brody, Hooper and Quint, we have Gun and the Stooges cast as heroes. Both are certainly epic disasters.

I hate to say it, but I hope we lose out and go 5-11. All winning will do at this point is maintain the hopeless status quo and screw us in the draft. Queen Carl and his vote of confidence should lead the procession out of town. If we go 9-7, miss the playoffs and draft 21st again, I'm gonna fuckin scream.

Has anyone noticed that departing coaches (read fired) almost [b]always[/b] get a vote of confidence from their owner/GM just before the ax falls?

Not implying anything gang, but the season isn't over so CP has little else that he [b]could[/b] say publicly.
