Carson Palmer is amusing...

Bengals quarterback was recently interviewed on LA-based sports radio station (KLAC) and talked about living in Ohio and the upcoming USC-Ohio State college football matchup. Here are some highlights from the interview:

Just being in Ohio you gotta watch what you say with the old Ohio State-USC battle coming up, or do you just not give a (darn) and your going to say what you feel like saying?

Palmer: I don’t watch what I say. I cannot stand the Buckeyes and having to live in Ohio and hear those people talk about their team, it drives me absolutely nuts. We got Keith Rivers out there and we got Frostee Rucker, we finally got a couple other ‘SC guys. It’s amazing to hear what those guys think about that university and what they think about that football program and Tressel and all the crap I got to put up with being back there. I just can’t wait for two years from now when ‘SC comes to the ‘Shoe and I get to, hopefully have a home game that weekend and I can go out there and watch us pound on them on their own turf and kind of put all the talk to rest, because I’m really getting sick of it. I just can’t wait for this game to get here so they can come to the Coliseum and experience L.A. and get an old fashioned, Pac 10 butt-whooping and go back to the Big Ten.

So you’re a little excited about it?

Palmer: I can’t wait.

People like to dig on OSU, but most teams would be happy with the success that OSU has had over the last few years. It almost seems as though people blame OSU for the current bowl system, it's not OSU's fault that they played in the national championship game. If memory serves me right, it took a WVU collapse and a few other things to make it a possibility.
That is a lame reply. CP was chatting it up with the USC Play By Play guy and he made a statement of his faith with alma mater on the local radio show. He is supposed to care that people are sensitive in Ohio?

Carrol probably put him up to it to get the team fired up.

No one cares about the lack of respect you get for backing into games and then not showing up for them.

You shouldn't of even won the recent one that you did but because of the refs you took down Miami. The phantom PI call was BS.

Carson Palmer is going to lose a lot of fans for this, you should of heard the talk shows in central Ohio this morning. First off Carson you aren't even very good, maybe if you didn't suck last year people would actually care what you think and not Boo you during games. Like a lifetime bengal fan said on a talk show this morning, "I hope he gets his leg broken and traded, go back to Cali, we don't want you".
So do you expect AJ Hawk to be a Wisconsin fan when they play the Buckeyes this year?

Attitudes like yours are why people don't like the Buckeyes or some of their fans.

Columbus isn't the center of the universe, unlike what the majority of the Buckeye fans think.

Is this some kind of joke? Two professional footballs teams, two professional baseball teams and basketball team equal no pro teams in Ohio?

So if MU plays Alabama, Brodie Croyle is supposed to root for MU?

You just lost all credibility (if you hadn't with your first "sentence").

That person sounds like a complete and utter moron.

Are you related?
Yes it's a joke idiot, I live in Ohio I think I would know we have pro-teams, pro-teams that never win. Are you really this dumb or just being a drama queen, no Croyle wouldn't have to root for MU just because he is playing there. There is a difference in playing somewhere and not liking the college teams, then there is playing there and disrespecting the College team that has more fans than your professional team. Just in case you don't know Ohio is football, on the College, High School, and Pro-Level, it's what Ohio loves, High School football in Ohio is life to a lot of people/schools. I am more into the Buckeyes than any of the high school teams, but we always have at least 2 High School teams in the top ten in the Country D1. BTW I Honestly don't care what you think about anything, so to me it's irrelevant, none the less, I figured I would address it.

Oh great here comes another puppet. Why don't you read all the posts, because you just made the same statement that Dane made, and I don't feel like addressing it again. Why don't you leave then and do all us Buckeye Fans a favor.

Actually, the Buckeye fans are in the minority, why don't they leave.

I am not a puppet, I can look at things objectively. Why don't you take the scarlet and gray glasses off and do the same.

No actually they aren't, I always hate whenever you come into a Buckeye thread because your points are so invalid. I don't have any scarlet glasses on, am I a fan yes, I aknowledged we were beat fair and square in both NC's and have no problem admitting that. You need to take your beer goggles off and post something other than crap.

Congrats on you admitting that they were beat fair and square in the NC's, that is something that most of the fans can't admit to.

I am so glad that you think my posts are invalid on the subject of O$U football. That really makes my day.

Thanks again for your opinion that my posts on O$U football are crap.

I'm not a Buckeye but whether you like them or not the OSU football program is among the best in the nation, year in and year out and has been for many years.
To hear Kansas fan even mention his football team in the same breath cracks me up.
Ohio State has produced some of the best to play the game.
To say otherwise is to either show ignorance regarding college ball or to show yourself a hater.

I will agree with you.

It is just that the Columbus area and the rest of the state of Ohio, revolves around O$U and think that O$U can do no wrong. I understand why the majority of the state of Ohio doesn't acknowledge there are pro teams in the state and consider O$U their own pro franchise. I know there are other areas around major colleges that have the same issue.

I am just asking for an objective view on the topic. I as a MU fan know that we had every oppurtunity last year and who knows what would have happened if we would have been able to beat OU in the Big 12 Championship game.
