Fasting, though, has allowed me to just ignore all the shit meals and calories I was taking in out of habit and really focus on enjoying and doing the food right during my eating periods. It also has allowed me the ability to splurge on occasion when traveling or during holidays with the confidence that I can get the pounds off again if necessary. But yeah, I freaking love to eat. But I'm also an all or nothing guy. If I get started eating something, then it's really hard for me to stop until it's all gone. IF I start in on chocolate chip cookies or cake or something that someone brings to work, then I'll probably have multiple servings, not one. It's much easier for me to never start eating the food than to stop once I do eat it. My wife, on the other hand, does small snacking portions (handfuls of almonds, piece of fruit, slice of cheese, etc...) all day long with no problem.
