It's a Wonderful Life and Mircle on 34th Street are my two fav's.

Bad Santa is funny as hell, but it doesn't exactly put me in a Christmas mood.

Great movie. I love the interaction between Billy bob and "Thurman Merman".

TK,

Last year I asked to receive that movie for Christmas. I got it too.

The neighbors dogs just torment Darin McGaven like crazy. I think McGaven plays that part so great.

Speaking of identifying with Ralphy. I love the part where he beats the crap out of that bully. That was me twice in grade school. I was a smart kid and pretty laid back, but a couple bullies found out my aggressive side the hard way.

I felt bad for the kid and wanted to smack Billy Bob upside his head when he ate his chocolate.

I didn't even realize there was a second one. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to avoid it.

"Awful" is a bit harsh, IMO...

“My Summer Story” was as well-written as “A Christmas Story,” but suffered from the substitution of Charles Grodin & Kieran Culkin for Darren McGavin & Peter Billingsley.

I like just about all of teh Christmas movies. The most notable ones would have to be Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, The original Miracle On 34th Street, White Christmas, Mickey's Christams Carrol, A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Santa Clause, Rudolph...... Ok, I'll just end up naming all of them if I don't quit now.

I'll throw out a couple of my favorites that no one has mentioned.
Christmas in Connecticut (the original one, not the one with the Governator)
And The Muppet Christmas Carol

Ditto. I agree with every one of these points.
