Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.
And if all that isn't enough to get you hyped, have a first look at the game's just-revealed logo as well:

I played with one of the guys here a couple nights ago and felt pretty useless. My guns did little to no damage while his guns tore everyone other than the boss to shreds. Not that I didn't have fun but that sure doesn't make me feel useful. Plus it absolutely killed my K/D ratio.

What's the quickest way to get to Vanguard level 2 so I can buy some legendary gear? I'm level 1 with a ways to go. Been doing the Strikes on Tiger difficulty and the odd Vanguard bounties. Also completed the weekly challenge and do the dailies. Anything else to speed things up?

Patrols, lots and lots of patrol missions.

I have FWC up to lvl 2, Vangaurd to lvl 3 and I'm working on Dead Orbit now.

Vanguard 3 and halfway to Dead Orbit 3 on my warlock. Vanguard 4 on my hunter. Just vanguard 1 on my titan, but he's not quite 20 and not a week old. Lots of patrols and at least 4 bounties a day.

Queen's rep has turned every day into bountyfest. I've barely even done her targets, with as long as it takes to do the vanguard bounties plus her stuff.

Yep - Vanguard bounties are huge. If you're short on time focus on the one's that reward 100 in rep. I try to stack them so I can finish 2 or 3 around the same time.
