17-year-old high school basketball star found to be 30 years old.

Quote:
WINDSOR, ONTARIO - In a stunning development, a star center for a Canadian high school basketball team was exposed as a 30-year-old African refugee, leading to his being detained in connection with the Immigration Refugee Protection Act.

According to the Windsor Star, 30-year-old South Sudanese native Jonathan Nicola was a star center for the Central Catholic Comets throughout the 2015-16 season. The 6-foot-9, 202-pounder spent the previous months during the academic year living with Central Catholic basketball coach Pete Cusumano as part of the Canada Homestay program while he lived in the country on a student visa.

That visa is now likely to be terminated as a result of the large discrepancy in his Nicola’s age. While he has been presenting himself as a 17-year-old, the Canada Border Services Agency has obtained evidence that purports to show Nicola is actually 30 years old, making him a full 12 years older than the eldest competitors on most of the teams he played against during the 2015-16 season.

We had a 3 on 3 work tournament several weeks back and a guy's kid subbed in for him for a few minutes. And of course, you don't get up in the kid's grill...he's just a kid.

I got crossed over and taken to the rack by an 11 yr old.

But I learned my lesson and proceeded to stuff/foul the shit out of the little bastard for the rest of the game. I'm not gonna get shamed by a kid who's balls haven't dropped yet.

Side note; we have a college kid working for us that's damn good and after I made a pretty nice little up and under move on his teammate, he came flying over and blocked my layup attempt into the 5th row. It was a perfectly clean block; so much ball that he actually turned me sideways and threw me across the baseline.

My 2 yr old in the crowd says 'oh no, daddy fell down' of course loudly enough for everyone to hear. I'm pretty sure he literally ate my soul with that block. All I could do was smile and be the gracious stooge while hoping he gets lupus. I did, however, hit the game-winning 3 later so eat that shit, far superior and younger athletic specimen that murdered my pride.

Some hot teacher is probably pretty disgusted right now. "I thought you were only 17!"

He didnt really stand out so no one was the wiser. See, to pull it off you have you blend in. If you appear to just be above average talent no one will suspect it even if you look much older.

When I was in Sidney we'd play at 6AM. Kept the riffraff out. Anyway after the season one of the high school kid that was headed to some college to play ball started coming. I always ended up guarding him because I was the next youngest LOL.

Anyway, one day this cat is working me over pretty good. I was busting my ever living ass on D just to make him slightly less efficient. And then I threw every fake, move, Eurostep, old man game I had at him and he was still kicking my ass. I don't remember exactly the situation but it was late and we were down. Either way I was spent so I pulled up from like 8 feet behind the 3. Thank Christ it went in. I couldn't go try to score on him in the block anymore. I'm pretty sure we still lost but I at least got a "nice shot." Out of him.
