If I remember correctly, it was fairly common for the Royals to have scheduled Sunday doubleheaders at KC Municipal. I was just 7 years old when they moved to the new stadium, so my memory might be bad, but it seems like there would be at least a few Sunday doubleheaders each season.

I remember seeing a day/night doubleheader at the K back in the 80s but we only had to pay once. But there was only like 30 minutes between games.

Yes, that may have been what is called a twi-light doubleheader. I don't remember there being more than two or three doubleheaders being scheduled in any given season at Royals Stadium, but when the Royals did have one scheduled, it seemed to me that they favored twi-lighters. Those would start at something like 5:05.

It's ridiculous to say that. That's like saying the Royals should be undefeated this year. Baseball is played on the thinnest of margins. You will lose heart-breakers over the course of the year. It is a part of the game.
