**** yes! I used to love that show. They started playing old reruns of it on ESPN Classic a while back which was pretty cool.

I am!
I used to *LOVE* that show when I was a kid. Looking forward to see what they do with it. Hopefully the film industry does not f00k up yet another one of my favorite shows as a child. |

I'm stoked about it. I loved the original. I'm looking forward to introducing my sons to it tomorrow night.

Titan was the greatest gladiator by far. He was the black guy with the flat top and the mustache. That guy looked like he could snap a limousine in half. Even compared to the other gladiators he was enormous.
They would put someone in that sumo wrestling ring with him, or on that football field game, and you felt like you were watching a kid playing with an insect. It was only a question of how much he wanted to make it hurt. |

I liked the original, kinda. It always bothered me though that the ONLY contestants they would bring in were small and scrawny. Would love to have seen some contestants even close to the same physical stature as the gladiators (I still want to see one of those guys get knocked out).

I enjoyed the show when it was on the first time. The only problem was that, over time, the women (both contestants and gladiators) became more and more mannish. Hopefully they won't make the same mistake this time.
On a similar theme, I was a big fan of "Battle of the Network Stars". It was fun watching the starlets run.

I would like it more, if it were like "The Running man".

It would be cooler if the deck wasn't so stacked in favor of the Gladiators. All the male contestants are under 6' going against guys that are 6'-3", 230 lbs and up. There are some good sized amatures out there that would give the Gladiators a run for their money.
Helga is 6'-1", 205 lbs. |
