Retail cards

People that work in Retail, I've got a message for you.

NO, I don't want to sign up for the (Target, Kohls, Cabelas, Bass Pro, etc. etc.) card and save 10% on my purchase today.

I've been on this earth for 46 ****in years. If I wanted to create a store charge card, I'd ask for one. But I don't.

You ****ers ask me every time I come to the checkout. It makes me not want to shop there.

Stop. Next time I'm in a retail store and some ****face asks me if I want to save 10% today by signing up for the stores charge card, I'm gonna ****ing go off.

Why am I pissed? Because I went to two stores today for boxers, shoes, and socks (Target and Kohls), and both asked me the same ****ing thing.

LOL. I hate that too. I will donate to dogs at Petsmart when I check out, but dogs are cool, people suck.

I went to some store (possibly DSW) to get some shoe laces. Shoe Laces. Cost like $2, maybe. The clerk asked me if I wanted to enroll in some frequent buyer program. “No, I’ve never been here before and I’m just getting shoe laces”. Well you could save X% on your next purchase. “I will probably never come back here, no”. Well, do you know someone who shops here, you can get them some valuable coupons.

At this point I was ready to either walk out or turn around and yell “is there someone here who can just ring me f**k up for these so I can get the f**k out of here?!”

Target is not a store charge card by the way. It links directly to a debit card, so it's an in store debit card that saves you 5%. if you pay cash, then obviously it's not for you, just sayin.

but yea, it's still annoying as hell.

This is just one of the many reasons why I make about 700 purchases a year through Amazon.com. As a Prime Member, I receive items in two days or less (as well as a great library of films and TV shows).

But unless you enable Instant Checkout, the site asks if you want to save 10% by signing up for an Amazon Visa today.

At least it's not a person.

The move that annoys me is if you're travelling and go to a grocery store and don't have the local card, and the cashier acts like there's no house card you can use. So they try and give you an actual card that you'll never use again and just throw away on your way out.

In Cali, I just give them my phone number. CVS is like that as well.

There's a CVS just by my parents home in JC and every time I purchase something there, I confuse the hell out of each and every cashier I've encountered:

Cashier: Card number or phone number?
Me: 323
Cashier: 913
Me: No, 3-2-3
Cashier: 913
Me: 3-2-3
Cashier: 913
My Dad: Just use our number

Never fails!

At Best Buy they would have tried to add on an additional $0.67 for an extended full replacement warranty.
