they land ashore in Mexico and the tiger walks into the jungle. Pi goes on to explain his emotion, that he cared for this thing and in so doing it kept him going and it broke his heart when it just walked off without a thank you or so much as a look back. I was, and still am, going through a divorce from a wife who basically did that to me. When he explained his emotions on that scene I lost it like I don't think I have since I saw Saving Private Ryan the first time. It's a special movie that connects to you like that.
