What's the shittiest job you've ever had?

I know we're all millionaires here on ChiefsPlanet, and all of us have known nothing but success. It's astonishing how concentrated the professional success is on this website, it's basically Ladders.com Version 2.0, only we're all employed and we all are responsible for million dollar clients.

In fact, to remember the shit job you had to hold down at some point growing up, you probably have to take a long lunch today to visit a hypnotist for memory retrieval. Sure it costs more, but it's worth it. You have the money to burn.

So what did you do?

I worked a few really shitty jobs, but painting tennis courts was probably the worst. I did that when I was 17 years old for a pretty decent company, but it was shit work, dude. Jackhammering and laying down base and squeegee-ing paint for either the city of Springfield or Topeka (worst town evar, amiright?) or Broken Arrow or just some asshole's backyard.

Worst job evar.

Seems like "engineer" is the popular term nowadays. A housewife/stay at home mom became known as a domestic engineer.

I really wouldn't say that there was a job that was just absolutely shitty. I've had some that weren't that great though.

I'd probably say delivering papers when I was 12. Getting up early ****ing sucked.....and you didn't make shit.

I once had to work at a smelly chicken coop, where chickens with large talons clawed at me. For lunch they gave us hard boiled eggs and egg yolk to drink, it was terrible!

Also after all that hard work the farmer forgot his checkbook and paid me in change. That was the last day I ever worked there.

Yeah, it had it moments. I tossed my share of coaches out of the game but also had some rather large men, compared to a 6'2 155lbs 18 year old kid, that would have liked to cleaned my clock and also had a woman throw an gatorade bottle at me.

I once umped a game where one team's coaches and parents got so bad the opposing coach pulled his team off the field in the middle of the game and quit playing despite them winning at the time. The bitching team was unfeated and didn't like the thought of losing.

Selling subscriptions to the KC Star door to door when I was in High School. We canvassed areas where there were limited or no subscribers... AKA the ghetto. It sucked and I lasted about two weeks. My last day the supervisor dropped me in front of a complete shithole of an apartment complex and I refused to go in. He was pissed, I quit.

back in the late 70's/early 80's i worked as a network admin at a local hospital/medical shool. worked the midnight to 8am shift. outside of the security guard coming by once a night, i was the only person in the whole building. it was also the same building where the students worked on the cadavers. there were rooms w/these bodies laying on the tables where the students worked on them. big storage tanks filled w/some smelly liquids w/bodies floating around in it. all along the hallways there were glass cases w/jars containing feet, hands and all kind of body parts.

it's been over 30 years since i worked there, but i still have crazy dreams about that place.

I worked the live dock at Hudson Foods for about 2 years. Taking live turkeys out of cages and hanging them by their feet on hooks is ****ing disgusting. You go home covered in scratches and turkey shit every day.

That's too bad. Life isn't so bad when you can actually enjoy what you do on a daily basis.

Mr. Clean-Up/Fixit for a slum lord when I was 13-16, off and on. Fun, the "things" people leave when evicted.

I was the "helper" on a three man termite team. I can still feel bugs crawling all over me from the little holes I would have to crawl into. I think I did that a few summers. If it wasn't for the two other guys being fun to hang around with I would have been gone after the first couple of weeks. I think I was 19 or 20 at the time and they would buy beer at the end of the day and take it back to shop and drink it with me. I would sit and tell them about all the pussy I was chasing and they would love the stories.

I also worked doing power lines too. The money was great but I hated that job. I think I only did it a few months. I quit the day some foreman called me every name in the book because some other asshole backed into his new truck. He said I should have been watching him even though nobody said "Hey, direct this guy backing up". I just walked off the job and said **** it.
