Amazon’s interface is so bad that I rarely use it. I don’t understand why they don’t work on that.

That said, I agree that Amazon's interface makes it tougher to tell which is free and which is not. Once you find the filters to do it, it's pretty easy, but it's not obvious for those who don't use it regularly.
Well then, if that's the case it still doesn't apply to my needs because the content I ALWAYS want to watch demands a fee per episode or movie. Their free content hasn't appealed to me like it has Netflix. Since I don't care to pay for both, then Amazon has to have enough content that I don't pay extra for and so far it hasn't. That's what the trial is for.

Plus I read a review on comparing the two and that review came to the same conclusion I did.

There's a new (to my knowledge) streaming site called Philo. It's available on Roku and probably other services. For $16/month it offers 33 channels of things I like. No bitching news people or crappy sports channels. It does offer channels like Science, History, Discovery, etc., and AMC, IFC for movies. That's just a few. You might check it out. It works for me.

Agreed. But I won't buy from Dick's Sporting either. Same applies to Netflix.

Netflix for original series, amazon seems to have more newer movies these days.
I love the original series. That is about the only things I watch. Here's the main problem, whenever I search for a movie title, they don't have it: Young Frankenstein, Dead Pool, Animal House, Monty Python and The Holy Grail etc.

It seems that I try to find a movie/show, I flip through all the choices and not many entice me. This the genesis of my question.

I don't know if you realize this, but one of the cool things you can do with Netflix is choose what you would like to watch.
I realize that and it is pretty cool.

I am a Amazon Prime member. I delved into it a tad. I need to research it more. Thus again my main question.

.
That’s one of the things I like about Roku. You say the name of a movie or show into the remote and it shows you all the different sites that have it and the cost if any.

****ing liberals and republicans. All whiney all the time. Same goes for the tree hugging liberal who won't go to Chik Filet or Hobby Lobby because they don't agree with gays.

Who gives a shit. If someone produces a fantastic product, I'll buy it, I don't care if the CEO shoots puppies in the face.

I just founds this:

Quote:
Netflix may be the most popular streaming service for watching movies and TV shows, but it not the only streaming platform out there.

There are tons of alternatives that offer a wide variety of entertainment, some of it free or cheaper than Netflix.

Costing only $12.99 per month, Amazon Prime Video is considered one of the best alternatives to Netflix. There's also Hulu, with plans starting at $7.99 a month.

VUDU is another good movie-streaming choice. It doesn't have a subscription fee, so you only pay for what you rent or buy. Movie rentals range from 99 cents to $5.99.

For people who like independent movies, classic films, and award-winning titles, there's MUBI, which costs $5.99 per month. Christians and families can enjoy movies with a faithful twist on PureFlix for $10.99 a month, with the first month free.

Fandor specializes in indie, foreign, and documentary films and costs $10 a month.

Popcornflix has a good selection of movies and TV shows and is absolutely free. Crackle also offers free movie and TV streaming.

Click here for a list of 15 excellent alternatives to Netflix.

I don't know about you, but with all the great alternatives out there, my family can definitely live without Netflix.
