Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

How can a deal be done when the two sides haven't even agreed to terms.

I want to see the Chiefs or the 49ers confirm this...or Alex Smith to do so.

I've heard "the deal is done" too many times to know to look for valid confirmation before believing what's reported.

Shannahan is the chiefs HC
Ty laws deal is done in principle
Andy Reid is going to the Cardinals
The cardinals and Chiefs are bidding on Alex Smith
Oakland wants Alex Smith

Here is what I would do since its all but offical that Smith is coming here. Trade #1 to Buffalo for #8 and #41. Probably would take Buffalo's #1 next year to make the deal go. But for this lets just say #8 and #41. This would assume we swap picks with the 49ers.

1. Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
2. Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi State
2. Baccari Rambo, S, Georgia
3. Jon Bostic, LB, Florida

We are back to 8-8 world and true fans will be happy.

I'll accept it when I sober up. Now's the time for grasping at straws.

Yeah, this post is lunacy.

I can't ever recall a trade that both sides hadn't already agreed to terms.

Based on their comments I'd say they still plan on drafting a qb somewhere. Hopefully a lot of shit goes down between now and draft day, we got some holes to fill

I know, right. That's putting concern into the qb position for sure.

it would never happen but if it did is it a good move?
