I thought it was Wilson's third year. MY bad. The point still stands. It is not something that a person would want to depend on happening just because it has happened once now. Outlier not the norm.

That TE, backup QB and CB will all be gone next year and we'll get about $13 million to the cap.

You said "The only win now move was trading for Smith." Those are all clearly win now moves (and coincidentally, tie up a lot of cash this season).
Asking which of those is a "big" win now move is moving the goalposts.

Haha yeah we need to rebuild since we are losing our backup QB!
No man. Cooper took Flowers job. Murray will take Daniel's. Fasano was slow last year and we have Kelce, along with McGrath and an interesting entity in Demetrius Harris. We'll be fine.

That is your opinion. There have been reports from Manziel, Ray Farmer, Mayock and others on draft day that we might be looking at Manziel instead of Carr too.
I think Reid Dorsey drafts Manziel there just like the Packers did with Rodgers.

Catapano is running with the first team as well. Bet he takes DeVito's job since DeVito barely played in the playoff game and Cat got all his snaps.
That's $4 million added to our cap by cutting DeVito next spring.

No, Ray Farmer plain out said that he knew they had to get in front of us if they wanted Manziel because Reid was going to take Manziel.

All of them. They're all win-now moves.
If you're not in win now mode, why spend FA cash (that totals up to several tens of millions of dollars) on guys who are role players/non-impact players? Why trade 2 second round picks for a QB?

What happens if Smith holds out for the season?

"Cat" played less than 100 snaps last year iirc. That's a lot of unproven
