OK, SORRY.

Francesa said about 20 mins ago that it is seeming very likely that Pioli will become Chiefs GM being that he is looking to go to a "good" organization with a strong ownership "Hunt Family".

If Pioli becomes GM it's nearly automatic that Ferentz is coming as part of the deal.

Herm seems to have an assistant job with the Colts if this happens.

This actually could explain the hold-up. Suppose Pioli is set on Ferentz and wants to make sure he'll join him in KC before he leaves NE.

It would be highly unlikely for Clark to announce his HC position before GM, given everything else that he has said.

Second, I doubt Ferentz would come to KC even if Pioli is hired. He's immediately turned down every other NFL position offered. Said he wants to stay in Iowa until his kid finishes High school or college or whatever.

Frentz's son is a freshman OL on the Hawkeyes. I really doubt there is any way to get him to leave Iowa this year.

I can understand that, but Iowa isn't very far from KC. Maybe the distance would be less of a factor than, say, Denver.

I think the bigger issue would be the son that is in high school, and since KC is so close to Iowa City, maybe his family would stay in Iowa until the younger one graduates.
