Chiefs Is Dwayne Bowe the most overrated Chief ever? - Page 8

I've been a fan since I can remember, which was just over 20 years ago. I know we have seen some overrated QB's here, but none of them were paid like Bowe at his position is and I can't think of another highly touted player who can't do his job in critical moments and has been thought of as quality for so long.

People also associate Bowe as the Chiefs 2nd best WR since Otis Taylor when in reality we haven't had a true #1 WR in how long?

What say you?

Makes me think of the 49ers being ranked in the upper 20s this year in passing offense. Wasn't the switch at QB supposed to make a huge impact on that? They even upgraded the WR corpse over the last 2 years. HMMM?

Why is it that Albert Wilson and Jason Avant come in literally off the street and look just as good as Bowe?

Why are we completing deep balls to them and Not Bowe?

Why is it that an Undrafted rookie free agent is getting separation down the field and showing good hands but Bowe isn't?

Top 5 highest paid WR and an undrafted rookie has looked better the last 3 weeks. That doesn't raise questions?

What do most defenses do to the only #1 WR on a team? They put their best CB on them and roll safety help their way?

Now take that and magnify it by 20 times because defenses know that Alex Smith isn't going to throw the ball into a tight window for Bowe.
