People who want Ryan as DC don't watch football and just listen to the media hacks who are constantly on his jock.

Right, and the teams records were losing records. I admit right now I don't recall his d much in Oakland but they lost the games I did see from having no offense. Look at the chiefs d stats this year, true representation of Gibbs and his d, or because the o never got going?

Not trying to argue for Ryan, but I want to see a better arguement than this one

Ryan sucked in Dallas. The Cowboys "weak link" was supposedly their secondary, so Jones signed Carr and drafted the highest rated "safe" corner in LSU's Morris Claiborne.

The result was that Dallas gave up even more points than the previous year.

Ryan sucks.

Does that take into account special teams scoring and offensive turnovers for scores?

As far as I know, it's just defensive points only.

Regardless, the defense definitely took a step back after adding two highly sought after cornerbacks, which I'm sure played a major role into why he was fired.

That defense has a lot of talent.

I'm not defending the guy but, that is a perfect counter argument because it doesnt get more dog shit than that list of QBs, and I mean, we know first hand what a defense with a season of Brady Quinn gives you so, if anything, Chiefs fans should be able to relate to Rob Ryan

Some of the best defensive teams in NFL history have had shit QB play. I don't buy that argument.

Horseshit! The Cowboys put up over 23ppg which was 15th both years. That is not even in the same universe as the Chiefs 13ppg (31st & 32nd). Ryan fielded a below average defense with an average offense.

I hate Rob Ryan with a passion. The guy has been a career failure as a DC yet runs his mouth like he's the greatest ever. Lucky for us Reid won't be stupid enough to hire that self promoting fraud.
