Disappointed in McCluster

Bla bla bla, he's a playmaker, he has two touchdowns already, whatever.

He has seven catches for 93 yards. 1/3 of that yardage came on one play. At least two of those are screen passes I believe.

That ****ing sucks.

This guy needs to be a threat as a WIDE RECEIVER. He hasnt made a single play down the field. I'm not even talking 20 yards. How about 10? How about coming off the line, putting your foot in the ground, getting open and giving Cassel a target?

I'm not willing to accept the idea that Cassel is so god awful he makes all our wide receivers look terrible.

McCluster hasn't done shit yet. And he was utter garbage in Indy.

Don't buy any of his ****ing t-shirts.

Every team has Bust littered throughout their draft history.. Some picks work our some dont...

But its easy to hindsight this shit to death when we know very little about why they made the picks they made...
Sure. And I agree with that. My point is that at the time the team had soooo many needs (and still does) that a "safer"- pick- type of logic should have prevailed. The Chiefs were simply not in any position to pick a part-time situational player in round two. There is no hindsight involved there.

What is a "safer pick"? Regardless of whom or what you pick. There is no gurantee that a "safer pick" would mean more or less production that the current pick.

And how do you know that the "safer pick" wouldnt of transformed into a part-time situational player anyway.

who would you have taken there instead? Nobody picked closely after him has turned out to be stud as of yet. He really wasnt a reach, he would have gone somewhere in round 2.

Some picks work, some dont....thats just the way it is.

I thought we should have picked Arellious Benn and no one can say he is not a better receiver than McCluster at this point.

I going to go out on a limb here......

Since we are finally throwing the ball downfield, perhaps Betamax will start to produce a little bit more now that DB's can't run straight at him when he comes out of the backfield.

Probably not, but I can hope in one hand and shit in the other.

Having the gears down during landing is too easy. I need a challenge.

Other good players:

TJ Ward
Nate Allen
Rob Gronkowski
Lamarr Houston
Carlos Dunlap
Sean Lee
Pat Angerer
Terrence Cody
Ed Dickson
Eric Decker
Colt McCoy
Jimmy Graham
Brandon Lafell

That is just guys taken in the 2nd and 3rd round.

Pioli screwed the pooch on that pick.

If you take Jimmy Graham instead of McCluster you can spend the Moeaki pick on Mike Williams or Jacoby Ford and you have a much stronger draft.

Cody would have been nice, and that was THE consensus CP player when the pick came around.
