Royals all-time record under .500 for first time since 1977

I don't know if anyone knew this, but with their loss to the Mets tonight, the Royals all time franchise record dropped below .500 for the first time since 1977. The franchise record stands at 2,638-2,639, and unfortunately we're going to be digging a big hole under .500 that will take a long time to get out of it seems. I don't have a clue how to term the franchise in broader sense. Even with a decent last 10 years, we probably could have said the Royals were one of the best AL franchises of the last 25 years. I don't know how to compare them at this point. Actually, besides the Yankees, not many teams have really had THAT much more success than us in the last 25 years, even if all of it was in the first 10-15 years of the run.

That shows how bad off we really are, once a proud organization, now a shithole, thanks baseball owners.

It won't be for long, but the Royals are not going to give up their all-time record without a fight.

With the sweep of the Tigers, the Royals are now 2 games over .500 all-time.
