Chiefs Chiefs release training camp dates

The Chiefs on Friday announced their 2016 training camp schedule at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph.

The team’s rookies and quarterbacks will report on July 26 and hold closed workouts on July 27-29 before the rest of the team reports to camp.

There are 15 practices scheduled to be open to the public, starting with a 3:30 p.m. opening practice on Saturday, July 30. Missouri Western will charge a $5 admission fee for that practice, which also includes a team autograph session. The school will also charge a $5 parking fee for all sessions.

Missouri Western will also charge a $5 admission fee for the American Family Fun Day practice at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, which also includes a team autograph session after practice.

Full team autograph sessions are also scheduled following the July 31 and Aug. 7 practices. The Aug. 7 practice is Season Ticket Member Appreciation and Alumni Day. Military Appreciation Day is scheduled for the final practice on Aug. 18.

Practices at 8:15 a.m. will run about two hours and 40 minutes. Practices at 9:15 a.m. will run about one hour and 40 minutes. Walkthrough practices are closed to the public as well as practices moved inside because of weather. The schedule is subject to change.
