I get your point and don't blame Orton one bit. And also why Jerry Jones is approaching Daniel Synder "BIG NAME FA rose colored glasses spend thrift idiocy" as an owner. But signing Orton was a good move but paid too much

Kyle Orton would have much, much rather been a starter in KC than a backup in Dallas. They didn't want him, they didn't want anybody who could challenge the pile of shit QB they have. isn't it rather obvious, even to a homer?

Why does it make KC look bad? How about because Dallas obviously places a much higher value on the QB position than KC does.

BINGO !! It's a no-brainer if you are Orton and don't think for a moment that Orton did not see the dysfunctional FO and their allegiance to Cassle the short time Orton was here either

Is it any different from the dumbass assumption you're making about him?

Kyle Orton is a pro who obviously likes to play. Anybody who puts on a uniform wants to start, maybe you don't quite get the mindset.

I'm sorry - What assumption am i making... that he took a longer contract for more money to play as a backup????? That's a fact.

Im not assuming anything else... He CHOSE Dallas... We COULDNT keep him because he was an FA.

Again, im done, You want to assume that Pioli wanted 0 competition, thats on you...

I see a GM that didnt want to pay over 6m for a QB that wanted to be a backup instead of a starter... Orton would be an upgrade on 10 other teams too... he didnt choose to go there either...

The assumption that he'd rather be a backup, or that he CHOSE Dallas over KC, when it's patently clear KC didn't want him around because he would have embarrassed the shitty QB this team is stuck with.

but hey, enjoy watching this reeruned pile of shit fold into the fetal position next season, and then we can continue to blame the offensive line for his incompetence when Orton was able to work with what he had.

I think I'll stand pat with letting you assert that the Chiefs WANT shitty QBs around and DON'T WANT slightly above medciocre backup QBs around to somehow mask how shitty Cassel is, whilst tripping over their dicks on national TV in a disastrous attempt to woo Manning, as dispositive evidence of who is and isn't FoS in all this.

I'm on record as more impressed with Orton than Quinn, but RAC named him as a starter before, so who knows their affinities. But your [and sportsshrink's, heh] conspiracy theory is beyond the pale.

I don't particularly care one way or the other about Orton, but what kind of dumbass brings up money or length of contract when we're talking about bringing in real competition for Cassel? Whatever their reasoning for choosing this road, it makes them look cheap and not interested in making the team better.

I understand but paying Manning $90 million gauranteed isnt the answer either. Orton isnt either. Quinn aint no QOTF either but he isnt being sold or paid as one either.

I'm all for drafting a QOTF and building a team to match his talents. But the Chiefs are not in that position this year.
