You really think its a coincidence that his two best years came when Cutler and Manning were QBs? When has Albert ever had the luxury of playing with a QB even half as good as those two?

Where are you getting these numbers? Albert allowed 3 more sacks than Clady over the last 3 seasons, 7 more sacks over their careers. This is despite the fact that Clady has played 800 snaps (almost a full season) more than Albert.

His pass blocking and his reliability are why he is getting paid more than Albert could ever hope.

Profootballweekly. They get their stats from Stats Inc. I trust Stats Inc a whole lot more than PFF.

Why do you trust STATS more than PFF?

I'm not trying to be condescending or anything, I just don't know why why it would be preferable. I like PFF's transparency, they tell you exactly how they derive their stats. I can't find anything similar in regard to STATS.

Anyway, it doesn't change any of the reasons I gave for why Clady will get more money than Albert.

PFF was founded by a foreigner who has never played a down of football and who didn't see a live professional football game until he was in his 40s. He designed the way they compile their stats and everyone at PFF is trained to those specifications.

Gee, I don't know why anyone would question their stats.

PFF provides useable metrics but stats and metrics never provide the entire story.

I trust PFF for basic stats like downs played, YAC, etc... Anything that requires a working knowledge of the game I think they are hot garbage.

PFF is just a bunch of normal guys and volunteers watching regular tv feeds. STATS is a legitimate stats keeping company partially owned by Associated Press.

Could you, rather than having this argument here, perhaps call Brandon Albert and explain all this to him?

This isn't some "You wouldn't say that to his face" thing.. Honestly, I hope BA agrees with you.

No. Clady has allowed 2 fewer sacks.

And he did not blow out his knee. The patellar tendon isn't nearly as vital as an ACL.

Both are very good LTs.
