Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

If you have an extra 10-12K laying around, this would be a bad ass setup.

I wonder if these are currently being issued for any type of service. Not that I'm spending that kind of coin on it, but I'd hate to be the first round of customers on something like this. |

That's awesome. I assumed it was going to be a system that calculates a firing solution and adjusts the reticle only (which is cool enough), but the guided trigger feature is amazing. Just hold the trigger and get the reticle over the red dot on the target. Very cool.

Here's an offer for those of you that have purchased a Springfield pistol since August 1st, or plan to buy one before the end of October. Quote:

Just got it in the mail today and I don't see a thing wrong with it. In fact, it doesn't have the 'XXXXX' on the blade that is supposed to mark it as a blemished product. I'd recommend ordering from this guy. |

Spent an hour at the indoor range with my new AR15 setup.
Colt LE6920 lower BCM upper w/14.5" barrel Leupold VX-R Patrol 1.25-4x20mm w/illuminated FireDot SPR reticle Everything went smooth, and I left with a big smile on my face. I love this new setup! The FireDot is a nice touch on the scope. It has a push button on the side to turn it on or off, and you can change the intensity of the red dot. |

Leupold VX-R Patrol 1.25-4x20mm Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24mm Trijicon Accupoint TR24 1-4x24mm They all have illuminated reticles. The Leupold and Vortex use a battery, and the Trijicon uses fiber optics. At one point or another, I had each one as my #1 choice. But I ended up going with the Leupold, since I already had a VX-1 Rimfire 2-7x28mm mounted on one of my .22 rifles, and I was very satisfied with it. Plus it was the lightest of the 3, and made in the USA. I think Trijicons are also made in the USA, but Vortex is not. Before I got my VX-R Patrol, I bought an Eotech 512 red dot and a TA33 ACOG. I'm building up an optics collection to go with my AR15 collection. |
