football doesn't matter much any longer...
When you get a text at 2 am indicating your Pops had been admitted to the hospital with after suffering a coronary. Sitting here waiting for 2 hours with no news kinda blows but I presume he will get cleaned out and be fine in a couple days. He's 64.

Update: He's fine. Two stents and he'll be home in 2 days. Pretty minor by today's standards but he'd be dead if this were 30-40 years ago.

He's been suffering for most of 2013 too. His doctor couldn't find anything wrong so he's a little pissed about it right now. I'd imagine he's going to fire his doctor and find somebody new. But, yeah - it's good that they found it and he's gonna be almost as good as new soon.

Yeah. I'm wary. My grandpa dropped dead of a massive coronary when he was 80. Dead before he hit the floor. Been 20 years this June. I was in Okinawa and couldn't get home in time for the funeral. One of my regrets from my military career. But, yeah - I need to take care of myself which is why I stay pretty darn active.
