I'm watching Rangers/Flyers, but I just can't get into this series.

Wild scored about 30 seconds after this - the Avs still had a man without a stick.

The Wild had plenty of chances to put it away, and they could've won it in OT. They didn't. Them's the breaks.

A fact's a fact, though. Without the blown offsides call, there's no goal and the Wild are up 3-2. Bad calls cost games, as do bad no-calls, and sometimes the wrong team wins. 2007 never happens for the Giants if the officials do their job on the Tyree catch, for example.

Wow it has been a long while since I seen the Flyers play this badly

Lots of goalie interference calls lately. Wonder if the league made a conscious decision about that after all of the hits resulting in scuffles or if it's just my imagination.

Just talked to former referee who said Stastny off-side was vague enough for non-call. So there's that

I'd love to know who that former referee was, because there was nothing "vague" about the play.

One foot offside and the other off the ice equals an offsides play.

Everyone thinks that, but that's actually not what the rule says:

"A player is on-side when either of his skates are in contact with, or on his own side of the line, at the instant the puck completely crosses the leadingedge of the blueline regardless of the position of his stick."

So in theory, if his other skate is BEHIND the blue line (even in the air), that's an on-side play. I know that's not the way people think of it, but that's how it's written in the rule book.

People don't think of it that way because it's NEVER called that way.

And FTR, I'm not implying that COL doesn't deserve to be leading this series, simply that it was a missed call. Missed calls happen all the time, some impact games, some don't.
