2nd most important position in football?

To be honest you can put my knowledge of football on a stamp and there would be plenty of space left. I really have no ideas. I'm a patriot fan and for me its TE Rob Gronkowski but no way in hell is TE the second most important position. For the seahawks its probably Marsawn Lynn or maybe Richard Sherman.

People from Albuquerque can't make fun of civilized towns.

I wwant to a conference years ago there that was in one of the nicer hotels. They stressed to not be outside after dark unless you were with a very large group. I went to Jamaica and they didn't stress personal safety as much as they did in Albuquerque.

There is a very short list of towns people from Albuquerque can make fun of:

1. Kabul

2. Maybe Detroit?

Since QB is no 1, I'd have to go LB as no 2: Lewis, Butkus, Bell, Seau, Lanier, Singletary, Lambert, Taylor, Watt. The leader of your defense.

One could argue the "general manager" and how he builds that team around the QB

I don't think QB is the force multiplier it used to be though. It's obviously still the most important, but I think the difference in the elite guys and the 2nd tier guys isn't as wide as it once was.

QB is the clearly the most important but there can be exceptions for the rare player.

protecting the QB and hitting the QB come in because of that

GM and HC are strongly in there too

I used to feel the opposite, but I think coaching in the league is just as if not more important than talent.

QB then Passrusher, OLB or DE depending on defense your team runs, then LT.

QB
Pass rusher
Left tackle

Those 3 are pretty universal, but after that it really depends on the strengths and weaknesses of the teams QB.

Going a little deeper, whats more important, a pass rusher from the outside? Or a pass rusher from the interior?
