Good luck. Just make sure to eat your Wheaties, and look in your vanity mirror every 5 minutes while you fix your hair. That's how I do it.

Well, this game thread sucked to write. I was tempted to abandon it but figured I'd hold out for a massive comeback. I usually do one of these every opening day, but if by some miracle the Royals have another meaningful game and I have time, I may start one of these again.

Nice shot by Pickering at the end there. From now on, I think we should intentionally walk big time power hitters when our guy is down in the count 3-0. Getting lit up like that won't get you any wins... Rather give up the walk.

Really a crappy day for the Boys in Blue. Hope it turns around with Hernandez on Wednesday.

Looks like the Royals have a Career-Day Defense also...

at least Dimitri young thinks so.

Boy, it just doesn't look right seeing Randa in a Reds uniform.

Hey, pete, if you really want to make tk13 look bad, jump on the Pickering bandwagon.

Tigers: Young on pace for 486 homers

News

Tigers DH Dmitri Young hit three homers and drove in five RBI Monday against the Royals. He was a perfect 4-for-4.

Views

It's a nice way to start the 2005 campaign. While we don't think he'll hit 486 homers – actually, we sure he won't – he's made a big stride returning to his 2003 form where he hit 29 homers with 85 RBI. If he wasn't in your lineup, all we can say is, ouch!

Pickering? The only guy that did something today?

WTF is Sweeney even doing on our team still? Didn't he go 0 for.. today?

Meanwhile Beltran is kicking ass!
