You can bet it is. This is a very lightweight lineup. When Stairs and Long are manning the corners on opening day, it's not a good thing.

I'll be stunned if we don't lead the league in times being shutout this year.

Wins are secondary. I'm going to spend the season watching the young guys develop, hopefully building to something for 2006-07.

There's a reason why we have one of the lowest payrolls in all of baseball. When Mike Sweeney occupies 1/3 of your $36M payroll, you're gonna get a lot of 1-2-3 innings.

My prediction:
Royals have the fewest RBI's in the Major Leagues

The Royals will be lucky if they have a better record than last year, given the payroll and talent (or lack thereof). I think they'll probably win only 40 games.

I'm not sure who the hell KC's hitting coach is, but he needs to teach the young guy's some freaking patience at the plate.

I can't count the number of times last year where a Royal swung at the first pitch, rather than trying to work the count.

Look out, '62 Mets!

And we don't even have a player as lovable as Marvelous Marv Throneberry.

Pretty impressive when 40% of your hits are home runs.

Unless you're playing KC.
