At one point in time Antares Autoune was extremely time consuming as well but with by 2000, computer speed and subsequent advances in operating systems made it so that it was much easier.

Once Celemony created Melodyne, all bets were off. With Melodyne, all you need to do is record a vocal, then record it into Melodyne. The notes appear as "blobs" and to tune, all you have to do is Select All and "Tune".

Bam! Perfect vocal.

Oh, I know it has been around for years. I just hate seeing artists use it as a crutch. You don't have to sound perfect to sound awesome.
