Your realistic offseason plan

Alex Smith will be here next year. So will Reid and Dorsey. Let's keep this in the realm of the realistic.

So what would you do this offseason to fix this mess, given that we will be drafting around #18-#20?

Cut Bowe. Get a WR either via the draft or FA or Both. LOAD up on the OL.

This offseason has to be focused on fixing the offensive line. Hudson needs resigned and two starting guards have to be found. I think Allen can slide outside and compete for the RT job with Stephenson.

I would love to see KC attempt to trade up in the first round for Amari Cooper, but that is probably unrealistic. That being said, WR, OG, and ILB need to be focused on in the draft.

Not give a shit for a while. Get pumped for draft. Get pissed at draft. Be mad at chiefs. Get pumped for training camp. Get pissed at preseason. Suck again next year. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

There isn't really anything they can do to be competitive next season. They can't beat Denver and can't do any better than split games with the rest of the West.

That won't stop Dorsey of course. They'll franchise Houston, transition Hudson, cut Hali, settle(?) with Berry, let some other JAGs go but they'll probably keep Fasano for God knows whatever reason.

They'll sign a mid-level players like an OG to hedge against Jeff Allen not coming back, a CB and a S.

Draft wise will be whatever Decision Lens says is available in the first, and go for OT/WR/ILB in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

The Chiefs will go something like 9-7 next season, possibly earn the 3rd AFC wildcard and get bounced in the first round of the playoffs.

Rinse. Lather. Repeat.
