What is the deal with this bullshit? Do people really think this is a way to make a living? I've had 2-3 Facebook friends recently start selling these wraps and detox drinks... I'm just perplexed by the whole thing.

I actually know someone who made his career out of a MLM scheme. I think he tried 3 or 4 before one finally clicked for him.

If there's an actual product it's not really a pyramid scheme, which implies something illegal where investment revenue from new recruits is just used to pay off other investors.
Doesn't mean these "multi-level marketing" things are good businesses though. But they aren't an outright scam.
