Would you give Eddie more cash?

This is the last season that our O-Line will be intact. Eddie and Trent are in complete sync. Yes he's 33 but his production in our offense has been great and there are no signs that he's lost his speed.

The last thing we need this year is to mess around with the offense and I for one hope Carl somehow will swallow a little pride and give Eddie a little more cash so he's not locker room problem.

But we all know he'll never do it.

I'd throw him a couple of bucks in change but it ain't up to me. Carl has declared no dice.

Sure, throw him an extra 100 thou or so, why not? He has been a solid player and a productive player, so pay the man.

I'd give him some extra money this year if we have any but beyond that no.

I'd also wait and see how the other WR's look before redoing anything with EK.

It's not about what he's worth to other teams or what others got paid. It's about what he's worth to us and our offense and that answer is a helluva alot.

Give him some cash and let's go!

I completely agree. My preference would be to add some incentives into his contract. Another 100 catch season 500k.

I think Eddie has earned it so I would give a new deal that was reasonable that we could afford. I could be wrong but I doubt Eddie is asking for a whole bunch more. It doesn't look like Carl is gonna give from what i've read though so it's a moot discussion. I hope Eddie doesn't take it to hard we need him to be at his best.

Too old. I wouldn't do it. I think the line has enough to let us invest in younger talent to develop. Like to see him stick around, but I wouldn't shell out more cash.

I would restructure as to give us some more immediate relief to lock up Tony G, Mitchell, and LJ during the season (in LJ's case the offseason)

Decent bonus, low cap #'s and structure it so we can just cut him in two years.

In a perfect world of course, im sure it would be tough to do without it coming back to bite us with a cap hit though.

Nope. But if he produces on the field during the season I'd extend his deal. If he holds out.....nothing.

I can't see CP budging on this one as he's not going to set an example for future players to biatch.

I'll toss two dollars his way.

I'd rather we spend that money to lock up players with longer futures in front of them like Allen, Mitchell, etc.

I think he deserves some extra cabbage. I don't recall the exact number but what did it say he is the 43rd highest paid of the starting WRs. That sucks. Where does he rank in production?

Maybe if he hadn't had to pay the Broncos back a bunch of money he wouldn't be whining about it...

I would toss him some cash via an incentive laden basis. I wouldn't do anything long term or anything that would hurt cap wise in the next couple of years.

I think EK believes he has the Chiefs by the short and curlys which isn't too far off base.
