Yeah, that was a completely crappy game.
And I've seen flag football games with less flags on the field (terrible pun--actually, no, I don't even think that counts as a pun, but it was terrible, I apologize... you get my point... moving on). I don't even remember the name of #70, but this week in practice he needs to be in his stance just sitting there, not moving for hours... I've never seen a lineman so jumpy, first year starter or no. The solace I'm taking is knowing it wouldn't have been that bad and not even a loss if it wasn't for the dumb, preventable penalties, and if Bradford hadn't ended up on the turf in pain. And defensively, I have been sick of Brent V and his schemes that leave receivers wide open for years. He was co-D coordinator with Mike Stoops a few years back, and he was not the brains of that combo. And sending continual corner/safety blitzes when the other QB keeps reading them... ugg. Hopefully Bradford's back by conference time... |
