People who don't have their dog on a leash because it is friendly but they can't keep it under control.

My dog is also friendly (unless it is a big dog) but I have to have him on a leash because if I didn't he would take off chasing a rabbit and get lost. Also there are signs everywhere that say ALL dogs must be on a leash at ALL times. When your unleashed friendly dog approaches my dog he gets aggressive because he knows he is at a disadvantage. Things then turn ugly because they stand there and try to call their dog back and he just keeps coming closer to my pissed off dog that I am trying to hold back. This happens to me at least a couple of times a week.

Those are the dogs that snarl at your kids or chase a cyclist, and leave their owner looking puzzled and saying "But he's never done that before!"

I drop-kicked a Jack Russell terrier that was walking unleashed along our street. I had my dog on a leash and the JR Terrier decided to come running at my dog. I picked up my dog but that didn't deter this JR Terrier. He was jumping up trying to bite my dog that was in my arms....and he wouldn't stop jumping. The kicking started when the dog almost got my arm. Not really aiming to I managed to catch him with a nice soccer style left foot to his nuts.

He didn't seem to feel the need or the ability to jump anymore.
