It worked for Morningweg. He was a game day manager. Called the plays and did most of the orchestration so Reid could focus on decision-making.

Good. Because he won't be the HC and we could use his skills here and I'm sure he sees a great thing being built here and would love to work with Reid in order to increase his credibility for a future HC position. Hopefully he recognizes this.

Willing to take the wait and see approach, however I would rather have an OC with some play-calling experience. Seems like too many chiefs and not enough indians on the offensive side of the ball to me in regards to Pederson, Childress, and of course Reid's input.

We shall see.

Every situation is different. For instance Herm was an assistant HC in Tampa before getting the Jets job. He never coordinated a defense.

Instead of banging the dents out of the current POS we have, they'll be shaking down the shiny new model the comes off the showroom floor in the spring. And maybe a gently used one that we'll pick up soon.
