Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

I hear you, and I understand.

All I can really say is that despite paying attention to this for over a year, pretty much the only "scientists" that I have seen that support the findings of the Wells Report are the bought-and-paid-for "experts" that the NFL's lawyers hired. Pretty much every other scientist that has looked at it has called it junk science, and confirmed that the deflation reported in the Wells Report is explained by the Ideal Gas Law.

And, unlike the guys used in the Wells Report, these guys weren't paid by the Patriots to find what they found.
Or, the Patriots cheated just enough that they could still use the "ideal gas law" as an excuse? :P

Brady rehearing denied. Not a surprise to say the least. The odds were incredibly long.

Now it's Supreme Court or bust. The odds are highly, incredibly, overwhelmingly in favor of bust, with Brady serving the suspension and Jimmy Garroppolo being the week 1 starter for the Pats.

Finally this crap should be over. If they denied to even listen to Brady's case then the Supreme Court won't either. Grab some wood you cry baby. This is Roger's house and you are lucky to be in it.

He brought this on himself and so did the Pats organization. Next time abide by the rules and cooperate like you said you would.

Well, not quite. The longshot rehearing request will now be followed by a long shot Supreme Court appeal.

But the ridiculous saga is nearly over.

And "justice" has nothing to do with it. Pretty much the opposite actually. The NFL's version of justice is an ongoing joke.

This hasn't been about whether the balls were actually deflated for a very long time now. In fact, science makes it clear there was no deflation, but hey, keep on carryin' on.

So as I understand it, Brady has 90 days to file appeal to SCOTUS. If he waits, good chance SCOTUS dsn't decide whether to hear it til '17.

So what's the count now? Brady two judges and like 7 for Roger?

One would think that the SC would have better things to do than discuss Tom Brady's balls, but nothing would surprise me at this point.

errr....no. Two for each.

The judges who looked at it decided it wasn't worth rehearing en banc. That is nowhere near the same as a complete review and AFFIRMATION of the ruling. Not even remotely close.

Yes, you would definitely think.

Which is why Brady's lawyers are going to paint this as a massively important issue implicating all arbitrations around the country, and therefore deserving of SCOTUS review.

And trying to thread that needle is why Brady has hired Ted Olson, who is a super-heavyweight lawyer with massive SCOTUS experience.

Not that that is likely to be enough, mind you. He's pretty much doomed at this point, but instead of a 0.001% chance, it will be a 0.01% chance, and for that marginal increase Olson will probably be paid a million bucks.

That science crap is stupidity. I know that the cold air will reduce air pressure because it happens in car tires for certain but not two hours after you put them at the proper pressure. I don't see them filling up footballs at half time in Green Bay or Buffalo. That playoff game in Minnesota was cold as it gets for football and they didn't there but you want us to believe it happened in NE. Whatever.

The text messages are damning evidence. "Deflator" "Not going to ESPN yet"
The cell phone destruction is damning evidence.
The video of the football bathroom trip is damning evidence.
The denial of interviews after the messages are found is damning evidence. Brady's answers concerning the footballs prep is damning evidence.
"Are you a cheater"? "I don't think so" is damning evidence.
