Santa gave me money for an iPod; I bought a Zune instead.

Let's see:

It has allows downloads of iTunes OR proprietary mP3s.

It has a bigger color screen than the 30 gig iPod.

It has an FM Tuner.

So I took the dive....anyone else bought a Zune?

I know they are "new;" but with Microsoft behind them....I suspect/hope that they've done their homework.

I'm familiar with iPods through my BIL; and played around with them, otherwise.

Like I said, so far....I'm seeing it as good as an iPod, without the limitations. Maybe I'll be wrong.

But I just downloaded every single music, video, and pic file I have on the hard drive of my PC to my Zune (a variety of formats and file types, and it reads, displays, and plays all of them)....and it's not even 1/3rd full yet.

I llliiiiiikkkkkkkeeeeee. So far anyway....

I'm not sure yet; but whatever I can download....that plays in WindowsMediaPlayer....is able to be exported to Zune. I think....

The only thing that doesn't seem to work, are the "subscription" services....like Rhapsody.....

all you have to do to get a ripped song from Limewire to Itunes is drag it over. that's what I do if it's just a single that I want, otherwise, my people send me albums using Pando.
