Best and Worst Jobs of 2013
Interesting rankings. I'm a few spots out of the top 10....damn.
CareerCast.com, a career website, ranked 200 jobs from best to worst based on five criteria: physical demands, work environment, income, stress, and hiring outlook. To compile its list, the firm primarily used data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and other government agencies. From actuary to newspaper reporter, see the complete list, and search for your job. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...095008558.html TOP 50 in Spoiler Tag

I'm set up to take the third exam right after I graduate in May. I've interned the past 3 years split between 2 insurance companies, and the most recent of which has offered me an entry-level actuarial position where I'll get to continue to study for future exams about 15 hours a week while at work.

Being smart at math essentially. Obviously there is a lot more to it than simply math (accounting, economics, financial skills), but you could go take a preliminary exam right now if you wanted. There are no specific degree or college education requirements either. If you choose, you can even study the materials on your own to take the exams. Once you pass the preliminary exams you can begin working and continue to take more exams, of which there are 13 in total.
