New Car Suggestions?

I totaled my Honda Civic last night and need to buy a new car. Because I planned on driving my civic until it died I really don't know what's out there. I'm just now starting my research in earnest but I welcome any advice, knowledge, or experiences.

I'm looking for something inexpensive, reliable, and gets great gas mileage. I really thought that if I made my Civic last another five years that the car market would be a lot friendlier to those terms in the future but I'm stuck looking now.

Avoid Ford for sure, anything made by dodge is a plastic POS. GM has some sweet deals running and has some high mileage cars.

Look at the VW...good mileage roomy and fun to drive and a Mini...cool lil ride.

Japs tried to kill my old man so I never even look at their stuff.

I have a Dodge Ram. If I could afford it, I wouldve gotten a Pilot or a Ridgeline.

I bought a 2007 GLI Jetta and I've been really happy with it so far. It gets better milage than the 2000 Bravda it replaced (which it should) and is pretty fun to drive. Mine has the comp controlled manual/automatic and I have no complaints. It's not the same as a real stick but there's no suckage.

Maybe you should get another used Civic.

That'll probably be my next car.

take a look at the new nissan altima. I've never driven one, but I know they are inexpensive, and I think they look better than the maximas. The Nissan's should run forever just like the Honda...I just think Nissan makes better looking cars, and I used to own an Accord. I switched to Infiniti a few months ago and absolutely love it, and they are made by Nissan.

You can never go wrong with a Civic or Accord.

I'm just tired of getting assraped at the gas pump. Who knows how expensive gas will be two or three years from now - five, six, seven bucks a gallon? fuck that.

I won't like it, but my next car will be all about value and fuel economy.
