Did you get the Boolean Gemini scout on the Reef? I think I read that was a reward for Queen's Wrath quest. I've had family in town all week, so it took me until last night to finish the story. Have 265 light right now without doing any strikes yet. Have been abusing the three of coins for an hour or so and thus far collected a dozen various exotics. Unfortunately I keep getting repeats, like two each of two different warlock armors, three of the same auto rifle, etc. I figure they'll patch this at some point soon, I've spent maybe 120 strange coins total to get all of that. Seems borderline game-breaking. But I've about hit my adhd limit with it.

Are they hot fixing the 3 of coins? I'll be pissed if I can't get in on that. I'm 255 now and am going to go balls out to get to 290 by tomorrow.

I did get the Gemini from the reef quest line.
We've been raiding since noon and are finally at Oryx. Every aspect of this raid is more complex than anything we've seen so far. It's long and requires perfect team work. |

The impressive thing to me is the sheer variety of stuff they give you to do. I'm sitting with like a dozen quests in my log now and have a hard time deciding what I want to do. Some of them I'll never finish but even so we're days into this now and I haven't even touched my second or third characters.

So is it too late to get in on Destiny? Would it be worth it to start given how long the game has been out?
I had thought about getting it, but I have been travelling for work a lot the last year or so. Travelling is slowing way down after October, and I was thinking of starting to play this. I am getting the Star Wars Battlefront game for sure, but thought having two games to jump back and forth on a regular basis to keep things fresh would be cool.

New stuff is still fairly new, you could always just go through the story (isnt much of one in main game though). It is a good game and even better now, but what makes people keep playing this game at least for me is the actual combat, i think its really really well done. |

I'm burned out. I just can't. I played yesterday with a couple buddies who were more than willing to back track through missions they had done. I'm just not into it.

We beat Oryx last night and I got a 310 artifact and a 305 raid scout that hits like a sniper against Taken. Both put me at 298 light.
That raid is unreal. |

Do you think it's possible to get to 300 before the raid?
I'm 295 now, but my leveling has slowed down by a ton. I'm guessing even though light is rolled determined by your level, I think they have all loot heavily weighted to always roll below 300. I haven't got a 300+ item from an engram yet. |

So instead of Forever 29 it will be Forever 299 eh?

The raid gear will get you to 300 and higher. You'll be fine running at 295. Just have a good sniper or Telesto for bosses.
It's the most fun I've had in a video game. |
