In a way it is because no matter what you do it will always be coming for you. Even if you pass it on it will eventually get to them and come for you. Ehhh...

I watched it. It was worth a watch..
It was a bit unnerving. As someone already mentioned: just the idea that, even if you pass it on, it will eventually get to that person and come for you. Plus, once you pass it on you basically have no idea when/if it will come for you. You could never hope to live a normal life again. You'd constantly be looking over your shoulders and planning an escape route. |

Ok. So pretty much the whole movie is in the trailer.
I saw this when it was called Final Destination 1-5. Aka every horror movie made since 77. |

You know... I've really been desensitized to horror movies. After I saw The Exorcist (and when I was old enough to really understand the complete concept) nothing really makes me even a bit nervous.
A 12 year old girl being possessed and spinning her head and priests getting all sorts of ****ed up? Yeah... That was a ****ing movie worth shitting yourself. |

I agree though that The Exorcist was one of the more effective ones out there of the few I have seen.

I get spooked by some of the jump scares that have become all too common in horror films these days, but The Ring was the last movie that truly scared me. I was legitimately terrified that my TV would turn on by itself when I woke up in the middle of the night.
Of course, I was like 13 years old, but I remember my whole family thinking it was a pretty good horror film. |

Yeah, I can get behind that. The Ring was an excellent concept. It did have its moments. That's for damn sure.

The Original Ringu when they did the typical Japanese cliche in its movies by of using telepathy and clairvoyance to solve the story line lost me . I would not recommend it.

That's the last movie that slightly freaked me. Edit: There has never been nor will there ever be a movie like the Exorcist. |

i watched this online last week - a big meh.
Zero explanation of the "rules" (the "things" that were after them just show up....and apparently can only walk, not run - but they can cover several miles in less than 24 hours).
Spoiler!
Felt it was very much like Paranormal activity, but with a lot less shaky camera. Ending was horrid.
