Help!! Need replacement vid card for alienware laptop
A friend of mine gave me an old Alienware/Dell laptop to fix. I've discovered the video card is fried and needs replaced.
Doing a google search I'm having quite the issue to find a cheap and decent mobile video card. He's not a heavy game so he's not needing anything top of the line. The Laptop is a m5500i-R3 series containing a Nvidia Geforce GO7600 per a google search from the S/N found on it (mobl-vidp53eg73256u) My problem is the age of the system and still finding parts available or at least compatible to get his system back up. I even did a youtube search and brought up some vid about a guy BAKING his card in the oven! From the video he said it works but hey, I'm a skeptic. I'm hitting a brick wall and thought you fellow techie nerds might help me find a replacement. Thanks in advance. Oh and Rep + Casino cash for the lucky poster who finds my gold at the end of this 8bit rainbow. |

What's your thoughts on this one. The connectors look exactly the same pin configuration as the other. |

That normally means it doesn't work or there's something wrong with it.
