I thought the last one was ****ing awesome. Loved Justin Long and Tim Olyphant. I really dug the story, too. IMO, MUCH better than 2 or 3. They adapted it from a novel, so it was some script demanded by a Hollywood Honcho looking to save his job.
This should be badass as well. |

But yeah, I wish it was Rated R, and take some of it down a notch but I liked it. |

Personally I like over-the-top action. I practically jumped out of my chair and cheered when he rammed the car into the heli. Bad ass. Physics be damned. I loved the first because it kinda played out like a slasher film in reverse. The bad guys were trapped with the good guy while he picked them off one by one. Most action movies back then were pretty much 'good guy rampages and kills hundreds of bad guys in over-the-top action to save and or get revenge for his daughter/wife/girlfriend/partner.' McClain stalking, harassing, and then killing the bad guys one by one was awesome as hell, and I loved watching Hans squirm. |

The Die Hard script was originally penned as a sequel to 'Commando' I don't even want to think how many re-writes it took to get from A to B. |

But, as JM did in 4, modocsot can't surf on a fighter jet. He did deliver my favorite line from that movie after beating Maggie Q's character, "Last time I saw her she was at the bottom of a elevator shaft with an SUV rammed up her ass." LOL! Ok, that scene was over the top too. |
