Will the SOC fire up if no QB in the first?

Just curious. I hope so because it would royally be depressing.

I think they should start buying flyers for individual play they disagree with.

Like everyone else I want to draft our QB but Foles isn't a retread or castoff. He's a 2nd year player with some definite upside. I don't think we should overpay by any means but getting Foles isn't as bad of an option as some act like. We could get Foles and then draft a QB too.

I don't know. If they trotted CAssel back out there week 1, it would be sorely tempting to contribute.

I just assume watch Stanzi than Foles. They look the same with build type. I don't see much difference but Stanzi didn't prove jack or shit during last years PS games. Foles just reminds me of Stanzi. Am sure he is better, but I don't think by much.

Taking other teams trash again (Foles) would piss me off, yes. Face it we aren't winning a Super Bowl trading a 3rd for a QB another team doesn't want. So, yeah it wouldn't be a good start.

People say there isn't any QB worth the pick at 1-1, but guess what NO POSITION player is that caliber of player either.

A decent LT? One dimensional 3-4 end? Situational pass rushers for us? That appeal to you?

The amount of dumbassery in this thread is appalling. A new GM and head coach don't immediately and magically transform the worst team in football into a great team. An 8-8 record next year and a playoff berth in the second year would be a great turnaround.

Excellent post. It's nice to see someone who gets it.

I really hope the Chiefs draft Geno Smith. But if they decide to go in a different direction, I'll root like hell for them anyway and hope they made the right call. To crucify Reid and Dorsey because you're tired of *****'s arrogance and bad decisions is going full reerun.

Really? When was the last time the Chiefs traded for a second-year quarterback who started 6 games as a rookie? Foles passed for over 4300 yards as a senior. Cassel carried a clipboard at USC and New England.

How are the two situations evenly remotely similar? (Answer: They're not.)

We are taking a QB off the hands of another team that doesn't want him. It's the Chiefway...and don't give me the "new system!!!" excuse either. When a team has Vick/Dixon as their QB options and gives a guy away for a 3rd/4th, I'm leary about it. It's time to nut up and take a shot on a guy ourselves.

This is the only thing I would go totally ape shit about, but I know it's not going to happen. Worst case scenario he's holding a clipboard.

If they don't pledge fealty to a QB at one, there will be no mercy/new SOC member Joffrey
